We are very enthusiastic about our recent development of different methods of experiential learning. We are very passionate about teaching in general. And we are very glad that you ventured onto our page to find some more information on the seminar we are organising this summer.
We like to think that we work best when we work in a team. This specific team that initiated our work on outdoor education, that looked up different trainings all over Europe, that prepared several international projects and events on this subject was lead by three primary school teachers.
We kindly invite you to joins us for our seminar on Experiential Learning between 25 June and 1 July 2017 in Ljubljana.
For questions, do not hesistate to contact us at email@example.com.

About the seminar and the organiser
St. Stanislav’s Institution is a school centre in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, with more than 200 employees and 1,500 students. For a better understanding of the institution you are welcome to explore our pages some more.
Lately we have dedicated considerable efforts into developing and implementing an educational paradigm promoting more engaged learning process for our children. We recognised children spending more and more time indoors engaged with virtual realities of the “great online” as a challenge. Research has shown diminished motor abilities, higher levels of stress among children and a lesser altogether physical fitness of younger generations.
We have been included in 4 international projects, have sent a dozen teachers to trainings abroad and have hosted two larger national events for Slovenian teachers in the last years.
This year we would like to go a step further.
Therefore, we have prepared a 6-day teacher training seminar for teachers from all over Europe for the first time.
Who is the seminar for
The teacher training seminar is comprised of a wide variety of activities that many teachers will be able to benefit from. The main stress is dedicated to primary school teachers, as the programme was developed by the research institute in cooperation with the primary school (with the involvement of several secondary school teachers).
However, all the attending teachers will be able to benefit from every day theoretical lectures on experiential learning, on the brain development of children and adolescents, on trends and changes in the everyday life of kids and on the lagging changes of the school system that would reflect these changes to the life-style.
In addition, we are convinced that the seminar participants will appreciate and enjoy a wide variety of practical outdoor experiences. As we will provide lectures on outdoor education, we cannot limit ourselves to the confinement of our classrooms. Exploring Ljubljana with its surroundings as well as some of Slovenia’s most precious marbles will be without a doubt a cherished memory for everyone that will decide to stay with us.
As mentioned, the programme consists of several thematic blocks.
We will begin a typical day with a more theoretical lecture (presented by experienced and established experts) that will be followed by practical workshops and outdoor activities.
We will try our very best to accommodate your personal needs and requirements and we will be in contact with all the applicants prior to the seminar to prepare eventual personalised experiences (as we have too much to offer for a one week seminar). Some parts of the seminar could be, therefore, changed or replaced or prepared divergently depending on the expectations of participants.
We figure a picture is worth a 1000 words so; instead of 20.000 words here are some pictures of the visit venues that you will have the chance to see if you come visit us. You will be staying in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia and we will spend an afternoon exploring it. When the afternoon will turn to evening we will go to a typical Slovenian dinner together. You will have the opportunity to get a feel for the city also on the free afternoon that you will be able to spend on some more sightseeing, girf-shopping or just sitting on one of the banks of the Ljubljanica river drinking a cup of coffee or perhaps a pint of beer.
On the excursion day you will be able to see some of the most impressive marbles of Slovenia. We will start a day by exploring one of the last operational salt-pans of Europe. We will visit one of the nicest and most ancient coastal towns in Slovenia. Later we will retreat from the scorching heat to one of the most astonishing and breathtaking underground caves with the highest underground river canyon. We will conclude the trip with a visit of a beautiful town at the brink of the mountains with a lake and an island and a castle on the cliff. In four words: Sečovlje, Piran, Škocjan, Bled.

Dates and prices
The seminar will take place in Ljubljana from 25 June to 1 July 2017.
We have a lot of experience with our teachers attending similar KA 1 Erasmus+ seminars and believe we have come to an arrangement that facilitates matters to the best extent for the attending teachers and their institutions.
If your application for funding is accepted, you will receive a travel grant depending on your distance to Ljubljana (we can help you organise this transfer too). We propose you let us organise your stay here in Ljubljana wich means that the coursefee would cover accommodation, transfer fees during the seminar, food during the seminar and all the other seminar-related activities.
The grant you will receive will be 420€ (for a 6-day seminar cotisation) + 630€ (for 7-days individual support = accommodation and subsistence, if you arrive a day earlier or leave a day later be sure to apply for 8 days of individual support). You will therefore receive 1050€ + travel support (depending on your distance to Ljubljana) + 350€ organisation support.
We will charge you 1000€ for the entire seminar.
We will try to accommodate you in all your eventual needs and desires – such as a pick up at the airport, earlier arrival, prolonged stay. Be sure to contact us with any questions, specific needs or special requests. We can also help you with the Erasmus+ application process (remember the deadline for the submission of Key Action 1 projects is February 2nd 2017).
If you need more convincing, please see the video below :)
